The responsibilities of the Administrative Division of the St. Landry Parish District Attorney's Office include day-to-day operations, personnel services, communications, supplies and equipment, acquisition and maintenance of computers, and administration of grant-funded operations. Supervised by Charles Cravins, this division consists of the following sections:

Accounting

Because the District Attorney’s Office is a public entity, all incomes and expenditures are public record. Therefore, it is imperative that these records are kept meticulously in order. That responsibility is headed by Crystal Bellow under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer Charles Cravins.

Appointments/Scheduling

Mary Jolivette is charged with the enormous task of the planning and scheduling of District Attorney Earl Taylor’s daily calendar. This requires coordination of calendars with other key members of his staff while still allowing sufficient time for constituent appointments. As Ms. Jolivette is the head receptionist for the D.A.’s office, she performs the very important task of greeting the public first and setting the tone for their visit with appropriate staff. Network Administrator

Athena Matte-Breaux is the advanced technologies specialist for the D.A.’s Office. Upon taking office, Earl Taylor committed himself to upgrading the level of technology within the office to better serve the public. New computers, Internet access and hiring an experienced computer network technician were on his list of priorities. Matte-Breaux administers the network, which is a series of computers linked together within the D.A.’s Office that allows information to be forwarded to assistant district attorneys, investigators and other personal. This advanced computer system enables the staff to work and communicate more efficiently and effectively. Athena also oversees the general maintenance of the computers, phone system and maintains the official website, which was one of the first D.A. websites online in Louisiana.

Traffic Assistance

Stacey Doga Deville processes correspondence that the D.A.’s Office receives requesting assistance with traffic citations issued within the city limits of Opelousas or out of our jurisdiction. Anyone needing assistance with a traffic citation, please mail, fax, e-mail or hand-deliver a copy of the citation along with the following information: Name of person to whom ticket was issued, correct mailing address, a daytime phone number, type of violation, court of appearance, date of court appearance and court date. If the citation was not issued to you, please include your contact information.
